1. About Plagium
Plagium is a technological platform that performs textual similarity analysis and identification of patterns compatible with artificial intelligence generated content, based on automated comparisons with public sources, private sources, and proprietary or third party databases.
Plagium does not perform human judgment, expert analysis, or issue legal or academic opinions with legal or institutional validity.
2. Eligibility
Use of the platform is permitted only to individuals who are at least 18 years old or legally capable under applicable law.
By creating an account, the user declares that all information provided is accurate, complete, and up to date.
3. User account
The user is responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials and for all activities carried out under their account.
Plagium is not responsible for unauthorized access resulting from the user's negligence, including password sharing or use on unsecured devices.
4. Service operation
Plagium provides two separate and independent services:
- Plagiarism Detector, based on textual similarity analysis.
- AI Detector, based on statistical and probabilistic analysis of writing patterns.
Each service generates its own report and is charged independently.
The results provided:
- are automated estimates
- do not constitute definitive proof of plagiarism or authorship
- must be interpreted as support for human analysis
Plagium does not guarantee that its reports will be accepted by specific institutions, including universities, courts, publishers, or public authorities.
5. Technical limitations and liability
The user acknowledges that:
- no technology can identify plagiarism or AI generated content with absolute accuracy
- results may vary depending on databases, language, text type, and context
- unpublished, private, or non indexed content may not be detected
Plagium is not liable for any decisions made by the user or third parties based on the reports generated by the platform.
6. Permitted use and prohibited activities
The platform may be used for educational, academic, professional, and informational purposes, in compliance with applicable laws.
The following activities are strictly prohibited:
- using Plagium for illegal purposes
- attempting to exploit technical vulnerabilities or access unauthorized areas
- reselling, sublicensing, or commercially exploiting reports without authorization
- using the service to violate third party intellectual property rights
- automating unauthorized access or overloading the system
7. Plans, credits, and payments
Plagium offers free access, paid subscriptions, and credit packages, as described on the pricing page.
Credits purchased:
- have a defined validity period at the time of purchase
- are non refundable, except where required by law
- cannot be converted into cash
Subscription cancellation stops future charges but does not entitle the user to a refund of amounts already paid.
After cancellation, remaining credits remain available until their expiration date, according to the applicable plan rules.
8. Refunds
Due to the digital and immediate nature of the service, no refunds are provided for analyses already performed.
Exceptions may be considered only in cases of verified technical failure of the platform, evaluated on a case by case basis by Plagium.
9. Intellectual property
All platform content, including software, interface, texts, trademarks, logos, and technical structure, is the property of Plagium or its licensors.
Use of the platform does not grant the user any intellectual property rights over these elements.
10. User submitted content
The user retains ownership of all content submitted for analysis.
By using the service, the user authorizes Plagium to process such content solely for the purposes of analysis, service improvement, and report generation, in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
11. Account suspension and termination
Plagium may suspend or terminate user accounts that violate these Terms of Use, without prior notice, when there is evidence of misuse, fraud, or abuse.
The user may request account termination at any time through the official support channels.
12. Changes to the terms
Plagium may update these Terms of Use periodically.
Continued use of the platform after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
13. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of the country in which the company responsible for operating the platform is legally established.
Any disputes shall be resolved by the competent courts, in accordance with applicable law, unless otherwise required by mandatory consumer protection regulations.
