About us

Protecting originality since 2006

Plagium is the plagiarism and AI detection service by Septet Systems, used by writers, students, educators and institutions around the world.

Our story

Plagium went online in 2006 with a simple idea: paste a text, and we tell you where else it appears on the web. Long before plagiarism checkers were common, teachers and journalists were using it to verify authorship in seconds.

Twenty years later, the question changed. It is no longer only about who copied whom, but also about who wrote at all. So Plagium grew into two detectors that work together: similarity search across the web, news and academic archives, and AI detection that estimates how likely a text is to be machine written.

What has not changed is the way we answer. A verdict you can read at a glance, evidence you can check yourself, and honesty about what the numbers can and cannot prove. Plagium is a Septet Systems Service.

What we believe

Three principles behind every report

ClarityA verdict you can read at a glance and explain to someone else. Green, amber, red, and the reasons underneath.
HonestyLikelihoods, not accusations. When a text is hard to judge, the report says so instead of pretending certainty.
PrivacyYour documents are processed, never collected. They are deleted on schedule and never added to the comparison index.
